What is the Dermal Filler Injection Process?
Prior to your injection procedure, we will meet with you during a one-on-one, private consultation to gain insight into your cosmetic goals and decide what product will best achieve them. For the actual procedure, we will use topical numbing cream as a local anesthetic to minimize the discomfort of the injections. From there, we will use a mix of our medical and aesthetic experience to determine how much is appropriate and will gradually and evenly inject the dermal fillers into your skin via a small needle. Depending on the desired outcome, either half or an entire syringe could be used.
What Can I Expect After Getting Dermal Filler Injections?
Your dermal filler injections will be completed in our Wellesley, MA office quickly and, typically, with few side effects. Due to the use of an anesthetic, the process is usually pretty tolerable pain-wise and requires virtually no downtime.
